If somebody would show me this picture and tell me, that this is the work of a fifteen year old, I'd propably not believe it. Almost every detail is done breathtakingly perfect!

I love the hard contrast between the warm colored dead leaf und the surrounding cold fir needles! This detail makes a huge impact on the picture. You choosed the time perfect, the low sun brings out the shadows on the backside of the leaf very well! This gives the leaf more variety in color and contrast. I also like the colors of the conifer branches. The dark brown (almost red) branches work nice with the cold blue needles - very nice catch!

The angle is awesome! The branch, that points to the viewer gives the picture a great depth. The dead leaf on the right side (instead in the center of the picture) reinforces the impact of the scenery - well done!

You've done the sharpness very good, too! But I'd pick a larger aperture to soft the background more and bring out the crisp of the leaf more. So the viewer is more focused on the details - but this is just a minor issue!

To cut a long story short: The motive is very well discoverd and caught - there is no doubt! Great work!

In conclusion, I give this pic 4,5 autumn leafs out of five!

Keep on the great work! I'm looking foreward to more deviations <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
